What does a wedding look like with just the two of you? 3 words, all about you.
Most of my wedding inquiries start with, “Are you available on….” but this one was different it was a text from a friend, who’d studied with my husband and had the same passion for performance cars.
We’ve known them for 0ver 10 years now, they invited us to celebrate their day with them, and take a few pictures for them, no portraits, just the ceremony, but I talked them around 😛
The groom Callum, had driven me to the ceremony of my own wedding a number of years before, so this one was quite special.
They didn’t want the getting ready, they didn’t want the details, they didn’t want the sit-down dinner, of the fancy over the top debt when they just wanted to be married. In 23 years, I can honestly say, it was the simplest and most amazing wedding, I’ve attended and had the absolute pleasure of shooting and watching Brook and Callum tie the knot, was the best day ever!
If you take away the bridesmaids, the groomsman, the pomp and ceremony, the flowers, the over the top preparation on the day, what you are left with is, these two just getting married!
I’ve said it a million times, you can have a wedding, or you can get married – its a totally different day, but this way it’s just about two of the best mates, saying I Do.
